Open-air carol singing

Decorations on a real Christmas tree.

Decorations on a real Christmas tree.

VILLAGE carol singing will once more take place in Darfield.

On Monday evening. villagers will gather on the patio of the Maurice Dobson Museum from 7pm, to follow a programme of carols with readings from sheets to be provided on the night.

Braziers will be lit to provide warmth.

Organiser Geoffrey Hutchinson said: “Everyone is very welcome to come and sing, but please come well wrapped up and bring a torch. There is no charge and we try to finish with a mince pie for all and a glass of mulled wine in the Museum. Singing in the open air is often cold but has a particular enjoyment all of its own.”
