Poppy Bowen Green

PRETTY Poppy Bowen-Green is blooming into a catwalk model after catching the eye of fashion scouts - but she needs YOUR help.

The South Yorkshire 15-year-old has been short-listed from 7,000 girls to reach the top 100 of an online competition for a place in the live final of Miss Teen Queen UK.

So the Year 11 pupil at Wickersley school needs your votes to put here through and make her dream come true.

Poppy, who lives in Bramley, Rotherham, was visiting The Clothes Show Live at the Birmingham NEC when a model agency booker spotted her stunning looks and suggested she enter. The competition is for 16 to 19-years-olds but she qualifies because her birthday is next May, ahead of the live final in August 2012.

It would help to launch her model dreams with Miss Teen Queen UK making her first personal appearance at the Clothes Show Live.

Other prizes include a fashion portfolio photo shoot, clothes, accessories and beauty products, introduction to a model agency, model assignments and the chance to represent the UK in an international pageant.

Proud mum Helen said: “We want as many people as possible to vote for Poppy. It’s her dream to become a model and this could launch her career.

“She was on a day out from school, on a design and textiles course, when she was spotted at Clothes Show Live last year and invited to attend. Now she’s been short-listed from 7,000 girls to 100 online. The girls getting most votes will get a place in the live final.”

* To vote for Poppy text TQ02 to 81319. Or call 0900 593 8000 and give the two digit number of the girl of your choice.

The vote ends on Friday, September 30 at 11.30pm. Any votes after the deadline may still be charged but will not count. Calls cost 75p - calls from mobiles may vary. Texts cost 75p plus standard network charge. All voters must be over 18 and have the permission of the bill payer. Voting help desk 01494 750500
