High honour for respected Frank

A WELL-KNOWN Catholic teacher has been awarded The Honorary Fellowship for his contribution to education.

Frank McDermott, known by peers as a ‘gentle giant’ and who is chairman of the UK’s Rainbows Bereavement Charity, received the honour for his contribution to education nationally.

After teaching in primary and secondary schools Mr McDermott specialised in special educational needs.

He was also head of Doncaster Teaching Support Service.
