HUNDREDS of children were treated to an animated presentation from the creator of Bob the Builder as he visited the borough.
Creative Curtis Jobling spoke about his model making days for children’s characters Wallace and Gromit, putting together the book Frankenstein’s Cat and also how he came up with the Can He Fix It? favourite Bob the Builder.
Around 200 pupils from 11 primary and secondary schools flocked to The Armthorpe School to hear Curtis’ stories and to find out more about his new set of Werewolf-inspired books called Wereworld.
The Mere Lane-based school event was held in partnership with the Doncaster Book Award which invites young people in the borough to read and review books and vote for their favourites.
