THE gable end of a church has been turned into a colourful festive scene by youngsters.

For the third running Youth in Action has created a traditional nativity mural which is on display at St Paul’s RC Church in Goodison Boulevard, Cantley.

It is hoped the painting will remind people of the true meaning of Christmas, the church says.

Youth in Action is the youth group which meets regularly in the church hall of St Paul’s.

Youngsters are encouraged to attend the group. They do not have to regularly attend services at St Paul’s.

Angela Fox, founder of Youth in Action, said: “It is a privilege to be involved with our young people in their attempt to promote the real meaning of Christmas.

“I am very proud of them.”
