A CHILDREN’S centre has received an ‘outstanding’ report from Ofsted.

The Beak children’s centre on Graham Road , Kirk Sandall, has been graded as ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

Inspected in October last year, Ofsted described the ccentre in its report as an ‘outstanding centre which sits at the heart of the community providing a very welcoming, friendly and inclusive environment.’

Manager of the Beak, Aimee Parker, said: “We are very proud of this achievement as it is a rare accolade to have achieved outstanding in every single area and we want to say a big thank you to all, not just those that were part of the process but also all who have supported us over the last four years”.

The children’s centre works closely with the Kirk Sandall Infant School.

Headteacher of Kirk Sandall Infant School, Janet Foster, said: “Myself and the governors are so proud of the achievements of the centre, as the vision from the outset was to develop the centre as a hub of the communities and to meet their needs.”
