David George Viccars : Acknowledgement

VICCARS David George To my husband, cousins and family, friends, neighbours, the Parish Hall Indoor Bowling Club, and the congregation of Christ Church, Brampton, I extend my heartfelt thanks for all the love and support you gave to myself and my father. You all helped turn a sad and painful experience into a celebration of love and life. As I said at the funeral service, my father would have been overwhelmed at the outpouring of love. I also extend my sincere thanks to the staff of Ward 24, Barnsley Hospital, Abacus Care, Macmillan Cancer Support, Rotherham and Rotherham Hospice for easing my father's final days. A special thanks to Peter Bold, the former Vicar of the parish, for returning to the parish to conduct the funeral services and for making a sombre occasion into a personal one of warmth and caring. Thank you to C. Beaumont and Sons for their sensitivity, professionalism and efficiency which was so comforting. And to Jill, to whom I entrusted the care of my father whilst I was overseas, you are indeed an angel and words can never thank you enough for everything you did. To the "lovely man" and "true gentleman" who was my father: What would I give if I could say, Hello Dad, in the same old way, To hear your voice and see your smile, To sit with you and chat a while. So, you who have a father, Cherish him with care, For you'll never know the heartache, Till you see his empty chair. Love forever, your daughter, Angela. Donations of £650.00 were made to The Rotherham Hospice and £650.00 to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of my Dad.
