A pizza history for Crowle pupils

Pupils at Crowle Primary school enjoy a walk in the snow before cooking sessions.

FIVE-year old Crowle pupils got up to their elbows in dough and snow last week - and mixed a few cocktails as well!

The first year youngsters from Crowle Primary School enjoyed a winter walk in the snow - then were invited to Frankie and Benny’s at Scunthorpe, for a history and cooking session.

First they were told all about the restaurant chain, and then it was time to make pizzas!

Reception and year one teacher Cheryl Pearce said: “The children had a wonderful time designing then making their own pizzas. They also mixed a few non-alcoholic cocktails, and made some interesting concoctions.”

On their return to school, pupils wrote thank you cards. Max Fillingham, five, was one of the visiting party and said afterwards: “It was the best day of my life.”
