FRIDAY night was party night for the borough's oldest cancer charity.
Dignitaries and supporters of the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust with the hottest ticket in town, including Mayor Martin Winter, came together to celebrate the charity's 35th anniversary at Mansion House.

And after guests had enjoyed a three course dinner, the generous crowd dug deep to raise over £3,000 in a keenly contested auction.

Entertainer Colin 'fingers' Henry then wowed the audience with his party trick of playing the piano while stood on his head.

A number of awards were also dished out at the dinner - in recognition of the unrelenting work that has seen the charity prosper and helped Doncaster become a leading centre for the detection and treatment of cancer.
