Blaxton Village Hall will host a coffee and bingo evening on Thursday 24 May in support of the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust.

Tickets priced £2 are available from hostess Dorothy Sedgewick on 01302 770398 and include refreshments and five games of bingo. There will also be a bring and buy sale and a tombola. The event sdtarts at 7pm.

DCDT collection boxes - aimed at offi
ces, staff rooms and houses - are now available from the Trust's headquarters at 4 East Laith Gate or by calling into the Free Press offices on Sunny Bar.

Operating under the motto 'Your small change can help change a life', it is hoped that boxes distributed throughout the borough will add extra impetus to the appeal.

The Trust would like to hear from anyone able to donate a gift for auction at their charity four course dinner next month.

Tickets are now available for the Mansion House event on Friday 1 June priced £500 for a table of ten by contacting the Trust on (01302) 349177.

Donations to the appeal can be made by visiting the Trust at 4 East Laith Gate with cheques made payable to Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust.

Funds may also be paid directly into the campaign account: Co-operative Bank, account number 50326679.
