A slice of American history is being served up in South Yorkshire by a tour company specialising in the Pilgrim Fathers.
Pilgrim Tours have launched the latest phase of their business plan to bring more tourists on the hunt for their ancestors by offering hotel packages in Doncaster.

The tours, which are run by company boss Russell Hocking, take visitors on the Mayflower trail - a trip which includes churches in Austerfield, Epworth and the Old Hall at Gainsborough - and are personalised to their customers.

Said Mr Hocking, who runs the company from Worksop: “The tours are proving very popular with a certain specialised clientele from America and we personalise trips according to the descendents on the tour.

“We’re hoping more Doncaster hoteliers will come on board. We’re making our name well known in America and we are in this for the long haul.”
