A GARAGE has been awarded a new safety standard covering vehicle crash repairs.
AW Accident Repair Centre, on the Denaby Main Industrial Estate, has received Kitemark accreditation.

The industry safety standard was launched last February with the backing of both the UK insurance industry and the crash repair industry.

The Kitemark is a joint initiative between Thatcham, the home of the crash test dummies, the British Standards Institute and vehicle repair bodyshops.

Andrew Walsh, managing director of AW Repair Group, said: "I believe this new standard has now become the benchmark by which insurers and accident management companies will measure quality accident repair centres.

The firm is also planning to recruit extra staff following the award.
