Banking service is saved by society

A NUMBER of jobs have been saved after a building society took over the running of a banking service in a Doncaster village.
Nationwide stepped in to take over the service within Taylor Anderson Estate Agents, King Avenue, Rossington, after the Halifax bank closed its branch.

Taylor Anderson, had run the service under an agreement with the Halifax for more than 25 years.

The new agreement between Taylor Anderson and Nationwide has safeguarded seven jobs.

Claire Miller, spokesman for the Halifax said the bank planned to open another branch in Rossington but no location or date had been decided.
