CAMPSMOUNT Technology College has changed status to become a Co-operative Foundation Trust School.
Headteacher Andy Sprakes said: "Becoming the first school in Yorkshire to aquire a Co-operative Trust is a tremendous achievement for Campsmount and puts us at the forefront of educational innovation once again.

"Through the trust we will be able to further develop the already positive relationships we have with parents, the community and other stakeholders to ensure the college continues to make outstanding progress."

Local MP and Environment and Climate Change Minister Ed Miliband was due to unveil a plaque to launch the new phase in the school's history at a celebration on the campus this month.
