A NORTON landlady has left her pub, following a bitter blast on prime time television.
Patricia Turner gave up on the School Boy Inn after a year of trying to make it profitable.

But she joined a long line of publicans who have thrown in the towel, after battles with breweries.

Patricia struggled to keep the pub afloat despite years of experience running shops and catering businesses, but told the Newsletter: "It was far harder than I imagined it would be."

She joined Sir Trevor McDonald on the ITV Tonight documentary to talk of her personal fight for survival, and afterwards was sent over 60 letters from others in similar situations.

The pub is set to re-open in the near future under a new landlord.
