THE Olympics in Bejing are over, and what a games Team GB had!
You may look at Olympic champions and see them as born athletes.

However the most important traits required for their success are willpower, commitment and the right training environment.

Hopefully many will be inspired by the Olympics with a
n upsurge in both sports participation and simply by people becoming more active.

Much can be learnt from Olympic athletes, the importance of goal setting being the most relevant lesson.

Of course we can't all set our own goals as Olympic athletes but we can all set realistic goals in our everyday lives, to motivate and provide
a measurable means of achievement.

For example if you join a gym it's critical to set realistic targets.

That may be to simply be able to walk upstairs without getting out of breath, or lose a stone in time for your daughter's wedding!

Whatever your goals, with the correct mindset you too can achieve success in the context of your own little Olympics.

Our instructors will assist you in setting realistic goals to motivate you and provide the basis for you to achieve your goals.

You can contact me at the Dave Ashton Sports Hall, Campsmount Fitness Club. Call (01302) 700474 (option 3).
