Summer season is a real scorcher

THE summer season at Gainsborough's Trinity Arts Centre features many shows that are back by popular demand as well as some exciting new companies to look forward to.
The season kicks off with the ever popular European Ballet bringing the fairytale Cinderella to life on Wednesday 6th May, shortly followed by the duo Country Company who are joined by comedian Nigel 'Boy' Syer for an evening of music and laughter on Saturday 16th May.
The end of the month welcomes back the Lincolnshire Hospital Band who will be performing to raise money for the John Coupland Hospital Charities on Saturday 23rd May.
After last year's sell-out show the Traditional Taiko Drummers make an exciting return on Friday 5th June with The Way Of The Drum.
Saturday 20th June sees the kids theatre present by Pandora's Box with the classic Burglar Bill!
Heading into July the arts centre welcomes Yellow Brick Road Productions on Saturday 4th with their show Movie Musical Magic starring Rob McVeigh from the BBC's Any Dream Will Do TV talent show.
Also in July the highly acclaimed comedy duo LipService Theatre return to the Trinity with the hilarious Tony and Twizzle.
Finally, the live season finishes with a very special performance of Tess of the D'Urbervilles from Theatreworks on Thursday 30th July.
Art In The Bar for the summer sees Claire White and Lynn Baker exhibiting in the craft cabinets plus Chris Paris and Mary Rogers.

Dr Jane Mackay continues the series of monthly Lunchtime Literature talks, and this summer the programme offers Boris Pasternak's Dr Zhivago' and Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisited.
