SCHOOLCHILDREN from Conisbrough and Denaby played it safe when they took part in a technology challenge themed around the danger of playing on building sites.
Northcliffe School hosted the contest and entered a team, competing alongside pupils from Northcliffe's feeder primary schools - St Albans, Balby Street and Station Road.

Pupils from years 6 and 7 took on the task of designing a poster warning of the hazards and a work site outfit. They then had to put together a Powerpoint presentation of their ideas.

St Albans were the winners and its team members were each rewarded with a goody bag.

Northcliffe design and technology teacher Steve Fridlington said: "The pupils worked really hard on their own to complete their presentations and it was a really good effort. "The challenge was organised by Business Education South Yorkshire and was judged by two of its representatives and two from the competition's sponsor, Strata Homes.
