A BUDDING young draughtsman from the Dearne has scooped a £250 prize after winning a design competition.
Year 13 students from Swinton Community School recently took part in a design competion at Sheffield's Kelham Island Industrial Museum. Joe Oliver was successful in winning two of the major prizes, Best Use Of The Design Process and Best Finished Product. The judges particularly praised his use of a variety of hand drawn images, computer drawn digital images and the broad range of knowledge shown in designing and making the product. Joe is pictured receiving his prize money from Martin Howell, Master Cutler Elect.
