FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Swinton on Monday night after arsonists torched a large tree near a busy road. A crew from Mexborough station arrived at the scene near a roundabout on Warren Vale at 8pm after a number of motorists phoned 999.
WATH-BASED MEP Linda McAvan is warning local businesses to be on guard about the "European City Guide" scam - after she herself was targeted. The European City Guide (or ECG) is a scam that operates by mailing out to small businesses, urging them to correct their details on a form - incurring an annual bill €987 (approximately £780).
BIG-hearted rockers are taking to the stage in a Classic Rock Music fund raising event for Rotherham Hospital Special Baby Care Unit. Trayler, Mulesweat and Steve White's band will play The Albert Road Club, West Melton on Friday 25th July. Entry £1.
